Camden County man pleads guilty to sexually abusing 3-year-old child
Prosecutors say the defendant is expected to serve 35 years in state prison under a plea agreement.

A Haddon Heights man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 3-year-old child at his home in 2025 and is expected to be sentenced to 35 years in state prison, Camden County prosecutors said.
Jason R. Anderson, 44, pleaded guilty July 14 in Superior Court to aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child by manufacturing child sexual abuse material and failure to register as a Megan's Law offender.
Under the plea agreement, Anderson is expected to receive an aggregate 35-year prison sentence. Prosecutors said he must serve 25 years without the possibility of parole on the aggravated sexual assault conviction under the Jessica Lunsford Act and 85% of the remaining 10 years under the No Early Release Act. He will also be subject to parole supervision for life and required to register under Megan's Law.
According to prosecutors, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit and the Haddon Heights Police Department began investigating after receiving a report on Feb. 10, 2025, that photos and videos on Anderson's cellphone depicted him sexually abusing a 3-year-old female relative. Investigators also determined that Anderson had shared the images and videos through a digital application. He was arrested that day and taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
Anderson is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 30.
