Heavy rain will sweep across Connecticut today, bringing a significant threat of flooding. Strong thunderstorms could also produce damaging wind gusts, with widespread rainfall totals of 2 to 5 inches expected.
A flood watch remains in effect through 8 p.m. Wednesday as additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms move through.
Unsettled weather will linger through the rest of the week with scattered showers and storms, but conditions are expected to improve just in time for a drier, brighter weekend.
