A Camden man was convicted Tuesday of sexually abusing two children in his household over nearly a decade, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Miguel A. Mota, 41, was found guilty by a jury in Camden County Superior Court of four counts of aggravated sexual assault.

The verdict came after a four-week trial. Mota was immediately remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility and is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 25.

Prosecutors said Mota abused the first victim on various dates between November 2010 and April 2020, when she was between the ages of 7 and 16. A second victim reported abuse occurring between December 2010 and April 2020, when she was aged 5 to 14. Both victims testified during the trial.

The Camden County Police Department launched an investigation in April 2020 after one victim reported the abuse. Mota was initially charged that month. Additional charges were filed in July 2024 after the second victim came forward.

Mota was also convicted of three counts of sexual assault, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of aggravated sexual contact, one count of terroristic threats and one count of criminal sexual contact.
