Rain and storms move into New Jersey overnight

Showers and thunderstorms could bring locally heavy rain and an isolated flash flooding threat overnight and into Monday.

Showers are expected tonight, with a chance of thunderstorms as well. Rain could be locally heavy at times, with an isolated chance of flash flooding as well. Conditions remain unsettled into Monday, though there will be some breaks of sunshine.

The weather turns much quieter Tuesday and Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Another round of showers and thunderstorms is possible Thursday before conditions trend drier again Friday and Saturday.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the low to mid-80s.

Tuesday: Sunny and comfortable. Highs in the mid- to upper 80s.

Wednesday: Sunny and warm. Highs in the upper 80s.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the low to mid-80s.

Friday: Mostly sunny and cooler. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Saturday: Partly sunny and comfortable. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
