The National Weather Service survey team has finished its overview of the storms and found that three tornadoes came through northern New Jersey on Tuesday afternoon. Luckily, property damage was at a minimum. Most of the damage taking out trees and branches. Winds ranged from 80 to 110 mph. The largest of the three twisters, the Mount Olive-Stanhope storm, was 250 yards in diameter and stayed on the ground for 1.6 miles.

A fourth tornado was confirmed in Cape May.

Skies are clearing tonight. The humidity is lowering on a favorable breeze from the north and temperatures will be comfortable and below average. This type of weather should carry us through the upcoming weekend.

Mainly sunny skies for Thursday. The winds will be light but from the north-northeast. This should keep afternoon highs in the low 80s. (87 degrees is normal for this time of year) I don't think I will hear too many complaints about low 80s regardless of the time of year.

Friday through the weekend will feature more of the same - sunny and comfortable. The next opportunity for wet weather is late Monday, with a push of potentially stormy weather for Tuesday.
