Bronx man says he was chased and attacked after dispute over car

Victor Hernandez says two men demanded money, attacked him after he mentioned calling the police and chased him into a Mount Eden bodega. The owner stepped in to help stop the assault.
Police are investigating the June 10 attack.
Fernando Mateo of the United Bodegas of America praised the bodega owner.
“Unlike the tragic case of Junior Guzman, where help never came, this worker stepped up and likely saved a life,” Mateo said.
