A man was found dead and a woman was critically injured after authorities responded to a reported disturbance at a South River home Thursday morning, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and South River police.
Police received a 911 call at 10:01 a.m. reporting a disturbance and responded to a home on Kamm Avenue, where officers found a woman and an unresponsive man with multiple stab wounds, authorities said.
The woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition, while the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said there is no threat to the public.
