A fire broke out at a restaurant in Englewood Cliffs early Thursday morning, sending flames through the building.

Crews were called to Lefkes Estiatorio on Sylvan Avenue around 4:40 a.m. after flames were first spotted in the basement.

Officials say the fire later spread upward, moving through the walls into the main part of the building.

Mutual aid companies from Fort Lee and Tenafly responded to assist at the scene.

Police from the Palisades Interstate Parkway are also helping with road closures in the area, including East Palisades Avenue and Route 9W.

There is no word yet on a cause of the fire or whether anyone was injured.
