Almost a month's worth of rain fell in some parts of the state in just a few hours' time. That kind of intense rain led to the flooding issues New Jersey saw earlier today. Storms will continue to linger across the state until later tonight. When the rain threat passes, patchy dense fog develops, reducing visibility for motorists.

Friday is another day. Another day of very muggy conditions, temperatures that will be a touch warmer than normal. It feels much, much warmer, however. It feels more like 100 degrees because of how humid it will be. Latest guidance is shying away from widespread thunderstorms, but the atmospheric conditions still support the chance for storms to develop. Damaging winds, lightning, and torrential downpours.

The weekend looks fabulous. Mainly sunny skies. Temperatures warming to the upper 80s and the humidity going on hiatus for a few days.
