Weather conditions are improving today as lower humidity rolls in with a northwesterly wind. Gusts today will be near 20-25 mph this afternoon. Highs today will be in the mid-to-upper 80s. The temperatures will be seasonal (mid-80s) for the rest of this week with lots of sunshine and fair conditions. The humidity is lower, too. The mornings may feel crisp.

Some thunderstorms will occur today In south Jersey, Atlantic & Cape May counties. Some storms can be strong, but they will not move into the central or northern areas.

Wildfire smoke is lingering in the upper atmosphere for today and tomorrow but will not have a big impact on the weather. The air remains clear and fresh for Friday and likely this weekend.

The next chance for storms will be on Monday.
