Two people have been charged in connection with an ongoing investigation into a double homicide in Jersey City, prosecutors said.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said Jahquan Porter, 25, of Jersey City, and Angelica Manning, 23, of Bayonne, were arrested Tuesday at the Hudson County Correctional Facility, where they were being detained on unrelated matters.

Porter is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, terroristic threats and weapons offenses involving a knife. Manning is charged as an accomplice with attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons offenses involving a knife.

Prosecutors said the charges stem from a May 18 shooting in the area of 109-111 Old Bergen Road. Officers found Luis Quintero, 53, and Kenneth Darby, 52, both of Jersey City, unresponsive inside a residence with apparent gunshot wounds. Both were taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.

Authorities said Darby was stabbed by Porter during an altercation before 18-year-old Treshawn Daniels, of Jersey City, allegedly shot both victims. Darby’s cause of death remains pending with the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

Daniels remains wanted on charges, including murder, attempted murder and weapons offenses. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office at 201-915-1345.
