Tonight is fantastic. Fair weather anchored over the Missouri Valley will continue to influence our forecast with a comfortable breeze keeping the temperatures pleasant.

This weekend is wonderful with mostly sunny conditions and highs in the mid-80s. Saturday is filled with blue skies and a seasonable low 80s for a daily high. The weather conditions are perfect for the weekend. But there is an issue we need to be mindful of. There is an elevated threat for fries to develop and spread quickly. The drought has worsened. Soil moisture is bone dry. There will be a breeze. If you are camping or using the charcoal grill, or even thinking about a fire pit, please be more cautious. If a fire were to happen, it could spread very quickly.

Sunday is the first day of summer and Father's Day. The weather will continue to be very nice. The early afternoon will be filled with sunshine and a seasonable temperature. Clouds will show up late Sunday evening

Monday will be our next chance for rain. It looks promising for a good soaking. We will continue to track the evolution of the system that brings the much-needed wet weather to the area.
