A dog died after a Saturday afternoon house fire in Beachwood.
The Beachwood Fire Department says it responded to the fire in the 200 block of Longboat Avenue at 12:10 p.m.
Police officers arrived first and confirmed the home was on fire.
Crews from Pine Beach, Manitou Park, Pinewald, and Bayville also assisted in battling the fire.
Crews quickly brought the fire under control, and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters rescued the dog from the home, but the animal later died.
Beachwood EMS and South Toms River EMS also responded to the scene.
