WHAT TO KNOW
Sunday will feature more sunshine and a noticeable drop in humidity. If you’re heading down the Shore or planning time on the water, there are currently no weather-related marine hazards in place. However, beachgoers should still be mindful of a moderate risk for rip currents along the Atlantic-facing beaches.
Enjoy this brief stretch of comfortable weather while it lasts, because a major summer sizzle is on the way. The News 12 Storm Watch Team is tracking a surge of extreme heat expected to take hold from Wednesday through Friday, bringing hazy, hot and humid conditions statewide. Looking ahead, you’ll also want to keep an eye out for a few pop-up thunderstorms late next Friday and possibly into the Independence Day holiday weekend.
