A 40-year-old Palisades Park man was arrested and charged with running a major cocaine operation from his home.
Following a three month investigation, the DEA and New Jersey State Police arrested Kwang Joo of and three others for allegedly manufacturing and selling drugs in New Jersey and New York.
The state attorney general says two locations in Palisades Park were raided. One was an apartment at the Meadowview Estates complex and the other was Joo's home on Third Street.
"Millions of dollars of drugs, including cocaine, ketamine, MDMA and $520,000 in cash was seized," said state Attorney General Jennifer Davenport.
"As to Kwang Joo, he’s charged with being the leader of a narcotics trafficking network. If convicted of this crime, he faces 25 years to life in state prison," said the director of the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice Theresa Hilton.
Kwang Joo is also charged with money laundering, drug possession and weapons possession.
