New Brunswick is known for its diverse options for medical facilities within the city and part of their support is the Ronald McDonald House.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a moment of relief for thousands of families who have children with serious health issues as they receive care at hospitals.

Through their work and help from volunteers, they are able to make things a little lighter for families during those difficult times. Volunteers often come in to make meals for the families. They are called "Caring Cooks."

Recently, members of the Somerset County Sheriff's office took over the kitchen. Sheriff Darrin Russo, his wife Denise and others put on the red aprons and made some of their homemade specialties.

The Ronald McDonald House is always looking for Caring Cooks. If you are interested in joining, click the link for more information.
