The Department of Justice is asking a full appeals court to rehear the case of former U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba.

Habba resigned last month after a federal panel ruled she was unlawfully appointed to the position.

After stepping down, she became a senior adviser to Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The DOJ is now seeking a rehearing on the matter.
