Code Blue declared across New Jersey as freezing temperatures creep in

Warming centers will be available for residents in need.

With freezing temperatures expected across the state, many New Jersey counties and municipalities are declaring a Code Blue.

A Code Blue is meant to provide residents with nearby shelters from extreme weather – temperatures are expected to dip below 32 degrees .

Warming stations include a variety of public libraries, senior centers, civic and community centers, school buildings, houses of worship, firehouses and first aid squad buildings.

For the full list of Code Blue activations or to find your nearest warming center, residents can call 211 or visit nj211.org.
