A small sushi shop in Manhattan is making a big splash on social media and changing how New Yorkers eat sushi on the move.

Suka Sushi, located on Lexington Avenue, is quickly gaining attention on TikTok for its grab-and-go concept that reimagines how sushi is packaged and eaten.

The shop focuses on fresh, fast sushi designed specifically for takeout. From classic rolls to creative combinations, each order comes packed in a tube-style container meant to make eating sushi easier.

Customers also receive soy sauce sealed in a straw-like tube, which can be poured directly into the container. The sushi is pushed up from the bottom, allowing diners to take a bite at a time without the mess of traditional plastic trays or loose soy sauce packets.

One of the owners says the idea came from a common frustration.

"Sushi is great, but it's not always easy to eat on the move," the owner said, explaining they wanted to eliminate bulky containers, chopsticks and spills.

Customers say the concept delivers

"I think it's really cool," said Evelyn Cardenas, noting that takeout sushi usually comes in small plastic boxes that are hard to manage on the go.

The excitement was easy to spot inside the shop, with first-time visitors reacting in real time.

Another customer, Leslie, who was visiting from Barcelona, said she was surprised by how much she enjoyed it.

"I usually don't like tuna, but this one is really good," she said, "the vegetables are fresh and crunchy, it's really, really, tasty."

With growing buzz and enthusiastic reactions, Suka Sushi is proving that a simple idea; better sushi for busy lifestyles, can make a big impact.

Suka Sushi can be found at 61 Lexington Ave. in New York.
