East Orange mother seeks public's help finding missing daughter

A mother in East Orange is pleading for the public’s help to find her daughter, who went missing nearly a month ago.
Marilyn Crocker says her daughter, Asha Crocker, left their apartment building on Harrison Street to go to work on Nov. 20 around 9 a.m. She never returned home and has not contacted family members since.
A missing person’s report was filed with the East Orange Police Department the following day, and the case was transferred to the department’s detective unit. Nearly four weeks later, Crocker says her family is still searching for answers.
“It is really hard because I don’t know where she is,” Crocker said. “I don’t know if she is hungry, or if she is cold, or if she is hurt.”
Crocker says her daughter’s disappearance is completely out of character and that nothing like this has ever happened before.
Flyers have been posted throughout East Orange, and a BOLO has been issued. Crocker has also started a GoFundMe to hire a private investigator.
"I just want her to be OK," she says.
East Orange police are investigating the case, but Crocker says communication from the department and city has been limited. She is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the police.
