Luis Marin Elementary School in Newark was placed under lockdown due to a threat made by a parent on Thursday, according to police.

Authorities say a parent called the school and threatened to harm his children. The man, whose identity has not been released, was later arrested.

The lockdown was lifted soon after the arrest.

Classes resumed as normal on Friday morning.
