A 26-year-old Lodi man faces charges for killing 23-year-old Julio Flores on the Hoboken waterfront.
Court documents say Erik Fernandez shot Flores in the back of the head in February at the pier near Castle Point Skate Park.
He then dumped the body in the river.
Fernandez is accused of stealing Flores' car and wallet.
Police have recovered the car and a gun but are still searching for the body.
