A fire in Edison on Sunday left over 70 people displaced.
Mayor Sam Joshi shared the latest update with News 12. He said half of the units at Millbrook Village Apartments are burned and there is little to nothing to recover. He said the landlord has indicated there are extra vacant units the displaced tenants could move into.
The fire damaged the 36-unit building on Vista Drive. Flames and smoke filled the air throughout Sunday morning.
The Edison Fire Department responded to the three-alarm fire.

There were two people injured from smoke and minor burns.
The deputy chief told News 12 the fire started on the ground level and quickly raced up to the second floor of the complex.
The Red Cross shared it was assisting families - from offering financial emergency assistance to helping with other immediate needs.
The mayor said they will work with the management here to help make this a speedy rebuild.
The super will be on-site for residents with identification to go into the less impacted units to grab belongings.
At this time water, electricity and gas are off at the complex.
