Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali will honor EMT Matt Goldman as the town's 2025 Hometown Hero for his bravery after a school bus overturned on the Garden State Parkway on Monday.

Goldman, driving behind the bus carrying dozens of children, pulled over immediately when it crashed, crawled underneath, and kept a boy alive until more help arrived.

The recognition ceremony is set for Thursday night.
