A Freehold man has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say Michael Vulpis shot a man in the face in Jackson Township last June.

The victim survived the attack. Vulpis was apprehended by authorities one week following the incident.

Vulpis could face up to five years in prison.
