The general election is just one day away, and early voting wrapped up Sunday, showing Brooklyn leading in voter turnout in the five boroughs.

Nearly 346,000 Brooklyn residents cast their ballots during the early voting period, contributing to a citywide total of over one million votes.

Polling sites will be open tomorrow, including the Brooklyn Central Library, where many residents are expected to vote. The ballot will feature a number of significant races, most notably the election for the next president of the United States, along with local contests and several ballot proposals.

All New Yorkers will have the opportunity to elect a U.S. Senator. Depending on their district, voters may also select a new House representative, state senator, and assemblymember. Additionally, voters will face six ballot proposals, including Proposition 1, which seeks to add anti-discrimination provisions to the state constitution and enhance protections for abortion access. Other proposals relate to the city charter, potentially affecting government responsiveness.

Voters are reminded to cast their ballots at their assigned polling sites, which will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Those returning early mail or absentee ballots must do so by tomorrow to ensure their votes are counted.
