Police: 83-year-old Somers Point woman robbed, assaulted outside supermarket
Authorities say the victim was near the supermarket’s entrance at around 10:50 a.m. when a man wearing a mask and dark clothing approached her from behind.

Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect who robbed and assaulted an 83-year-old woman outside of an Acme in Somers Point.
Authorities say the victim was near the supermarket’s entrance at around 10:50 a.m. when a man wearing a mask and dark clothing approached her from behind.
The suspect proceeded to assault her, steal her purse and then left the scene on foot toward Bethel Road.
The victim was hospitalized for injuries she sustained during the incident.
