The annual Sea.Hear.Now Festival is coming up this weekend in Asbury Park. To prepare, the city has begun shutting down streets and closing beaches.

The closures started as early as this past Thursday. The festival is this Saturday and Sunday, Sept.14 and 15, and will feature over 25 artists on three stages.

There are already some restricted areas, such as the beaches on the North End between Seventh Avenueand Fisherman's Parking Lot - near the dog beach.

Beaches between Convention Hall and Seventh Avenue will be closed, beginning today through Friday, Sept. 20.

The boardwalk on the North End will remain open until Friday at 3 p.m. Public access will be restored next Monday at 8 a.m. During the festival, the boardwalk on the North End will not be accessible.

Visitors and residents are urged to exercise caution during setup for the Sea.Hear.Now Festival.
