Officials say that the condition of a toddler who accidentally shot himself with a gun in Newark last week has been updated to stable.
The 3-year-old boy was originally listed in critical condition after he shot himself on Aug. 15. Police say the boy was home with two other children when the gun went off.

It was unclear how the child got his hands on the gun.
No charges have been filed at this time.
