Some lifeguards in Monmouth County were recognized last week at a Bradley Beach council meeting for saving the life of a swimmer.
Bradley Beach police say a swimmer was found July 14 face down in the ocean, unconscious and not breathing. Authorities say the lifeguards sprang into action, performed CPR and brought back a pulse to the victim who was taken to a hospital and ultimately made a full recovery.
