East Brunswick police: Bicyclist killed in Route 18 crash

East Brunswick police say they are investigating a crash that killed a person on an electrical bicycle.

A 25-year-old man died Thursday in a fatal crash involving a motor vehicle in East Brunswick, police say.

The crash happened at the intersection of Route 18 and South Woodland Avenue. According to police, Rohit Sharma was on an electric bicycle when he was critically injured and pronounced dead.

Authorities say the driver of the car was not injured and stayed at the scene of the crash.

The East Brunswick Police Department Traffic Safety Section is conducting a crash investigation.
