Vote-by-mail ballots are now available for the special primary election in the 10th Congressional District. The election will be held to fill the vacated seat of longtime Democratic U.S. Rep. Donald Payne Jr., who died after suffering a heart attack in April.

New Jersey's 10th Congressional District includes Cranford, Garwood, Hillside, Kenilworth, part of Linden, Roselle, Roselle Park and Union Township.

Voters can obtain, cast and place their ballots in a box at the Union County clerk's offices in Westfield and Elizabeth.

The special primary election will be held on July 16, and the election will be held on Sept. 18. For more information on voting in Union County elections, call 908-527-4996 or click here.
