A new phone app is set to launch at the end of the month to help notify people quicker about their loved ones going missing.

The woman behind the app, Rose Cobo, is all too familiar with the experience of having a loved one missing. Eight years after her daughter Chelsea Cobo went missing, she’s still handing out flyers.

With Mother’s Day just two days away, Rose Cobo is hard at work to get the 911 Missing Persons app onto people’s phones. It will allow people to put their loved ones on the app for other app users to keep an eye out for.

“Anyone with the app will be able to communicate with the missing loved one in the search,” said Cobo, who says this app will help the search for these missing people happen in real time.
