Old Bridge Turnpike will be closed to northbound traffic, affecting commuters who travel through or live in South River.
Posted detours direct traffic as follows:
Right onto Lexington Avenue
Left onto James Street
Left onto Johnson Place
Right onto Old Bridge Turnpike
Commercial vehicles and trucks will be detoured to follow Racetrack Road to Route 18 northbound. Southbound traffic should not be affected.
