Police: Keyport man using blowtorch sparks fire, melts shoes to the ground
Officials say that police officers were able to bring the man to safety and gave him oxygen.

Crews responded to a fire at a Keyport home on Sunday that was caused by a resident using a blowtorch.
Keyport police say the man was using the blowtorch in the basement, causing his shoes to melt and stick to the ground. They say he passed out from the fumes, which also produced a lot of smoke.
Officials say that police officers were able to bring the man to safety and gave him oxygen. The fire department was also able to clear out all the smoke.
The man is said to be in stable condition at the hospital.
