A pedestrian was killed Wednesday in Lawrence Township after a vehicle struck them, according to police.

Authorities say this happened just before 7 p.m. on the 3300 block of Brunswick Pike. They say the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Officials have yet to release the name of the victim.

The driver is a 39-year-old from Ewing, according to police. They say the driver and the people inside their car were not hurt.

All lanes on Brunswick Pike southbound between the area of the Quakerbridge Road overpass and the incident were closed.

Police and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the crash. Anyone with information should call Detective Dean Sawasky at 609-844-7125 or email dsawasky@lawrencetwp.com.
