The roadways across New Jersey are mostly clear of any slush or snow after a snowstorm brought 15 inches of snow to parts of the state.

Along the boardwalk in Belmar, one might still be able to find some melting snow. Once the snow stopped falling, the clouds cleared, and the sun took over. Temperatures reached around 39 degrees around the shoreline.

This is very different from Tuesday morning when roads were slick and windshields were covered in snowflakes. Those conditions led to a lot of school closures.

Kathy Freeman, from Bradley Beach, says she was thankful. She works in the New Rochelle School District, an hour and 45-minute commute.

“They were going to get a lot more snow up there, so I was happy,” Freeman says.

Some areas suffered mild flooding. Main Street in Manasquan was one of those areas where SUVs and trucks made their way through high water. The morning rush saw Routes 35 and 35 covered in snow and slush.

The snow forced drivers to slow below 20 mph. It caught many by surprise as there were accidents.

"So since 6 a.m. this morning, Wall Township has responded to seven accidents related to slick roads. Nothing major, no major injuries,” says Wall Township Police Chief Sean O'Halloran.

The snow mostly impacted northern New Jersey, but even areas along the shore saw some snow.

Temperatures will drop overnight, which may cause some icy conditions along the roads and sidewalks.
