The family of Adriana Kuch, a 14-year-old who died by suicide in 2023, has sued Central Regional High School in Bayville.

A video of Kuch being brutally attacked by a group of girls at the school went viral. Her parents say she endured bullying before that fight.

The video sparked days of protests and students asking questions. Superintendent Dr. Triantafillos Parlapanides resigned shortly after.

The lawsuit accuses administrators of negligence for not looking into the attack or pressing charges against the attackers. The lawsuit also lists poor training that fostered a culture of harassment, intimidation and bullying.

There has been no comment from Parlapanides or the district.
