A Newark man is facing up to life in prison after being convicted of murdering his girlfriend in 2022.

Nasean Torres was found guilty of stabbing and strangling Elizabeth Kelley in July of 2022. Police found her dead in the basement of house on Palm Street.

Torres will be sentenced in February, according to authorities.
