Police search for person responsible for series of burglaries in Verona
Police say the person broke into a home and a car and tried to break into a second home.

The Verona Police Department is looking for a person accused of a series of burglaries in the town early Wednesday morning.
Police say it happened in the Afterglow section of town between 12:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. They say the person broke into a home while the homeowners were asleep and stole a wallet. That same person then burglarized a car in another driveway and unsuccessfully attempted to break into a second home.
Police did not provide a description of the suspect. They are asking any residents who have video footage of suspicious people on foot during the timeframe to contact the Verona Police Department at 973-239-5000.
