New Jersey Rep. Bonnie Watson-Coleman faced boos and jeers during the vote for Speaker of the House Wednesday afternoon.

Republican Louisiana Rep. Mike Johnson secured the speakership with 220 votes.

When it was Watson-Coleman’s turn to vote, she said that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries was “the only candidate who represents the integrity of this House.”

The comment drew boos and profanity from some House Republicans.

Johnson securing the speakership brings an end to a chaotic few weeks in the House after Republicans voted to oust former Speaker Kevin McCarthy and then could not agree on a replacement.
