News 12 New Jersey’s Lauren Due interviewed comedian and actor George Lopez ahead of his comedy show in Newark this weekend.

Lopez linked in his Jersey ties and calls himself a huge “Soprano” fan. He also said he played golf in the Garden State.

“Usually, comedians don't go out during the day but after midnight it's like 1973 all over again,” he said.

Tickets are still available for Lopez’ comedy show on Friday at 8 p.m. at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. For more information, visit njpac.org.
