Another dead whale washed up on the shore of a New Jersey beach this week.

The carcass was removed from Island Beach State Park on Thursday, a state park employee confirmed to News 12 New Jersey.

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center confirmed a minke whale died late Thursday and was towed to Island Beach State Park. The animal rescue service says its team has been trying to assist the whale since Sunday afternoon.

Necropsy results show no signs of trauma.

Multiple whales have been found dead along the New Jersey coast this year. Some critics believe it is the result of work to complete offshore wind farms. However, officials have said there is no evidence to support this theory.
