Several people had to be rescued from the ocean on Tuesday after struggling in dangerous rip currents.

News 12 New Jersey viewer Michael Clancy shared a drone video of the incident. Rescuers are seen swimming out to one person who was in distress near the jetty.

Another rescue occurred moments later. A man on a boogie board needed help. A group was able to pull him to safety.

Authorities say that eight people were rescued in all in Spring Lake.

Officials are reminding beachgoers to not swim when lifeguards are not on duty.
