More than 30 people were stuck on a disabled train in Maplewood due to overhead wire issues near the train station.

New Jersey Transit says that 36 passengers were on the train at the time. They were taken off the train and taken to their destination via NJ Transit bus.

Morris and Essex Line rail service was suspended for a time. NJ Transit says that service has resumed, but is subject to delays and cancellations.

NJ Transit rail tickets are being cross-honored by NJ Transit bus and private carriers.

This is the second time this week that overhead wire issues in Maplewood have impacted NJ Transit service. Crews had to make repairs to the lines on Wednesday as well.
