Transit woes had commuters scurrying for an alternate route in and out of New York City Thursday morning.

For the second time in four days, a portion of New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor line was suspended in both directions due to signal and power issues.

Thursday’s MetroPark line suspension disrupted thousands of commuters along the Northeast Corridor as well as the North Jersey Coast Line. This left many commuters who normally go into the city to either work from home or find an alternate way to travel.

Antonio Riggi of Metuchen said, "I was scheduled to go into New York today, but I did not because there were no trains.”

In a statement to News 12 New Jersey, NJ Transit referred the issues to Amtrak who maintains and operates the Northeast Corridor Line. Amtrak says the issue was resolved Thursday at 9:50 a.m.

NJ Transit cross-honored their train and bus tickets.
