Prosecutor: 2 face charges after exposing their dog to heroin

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office says that Clinton Danks, 58, and Kristina Meyers, 37 exposed their Yorkshire Terrier to heroin.

Two people are facing animal cruelty charges after allegedly giving their dog heroin.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office says that Clinton Danks, 58, and Kristina Meyers, 37 exposed their Yorkshire Terrier to heroin.

Authorities say that incident happened on Nov. 17, 2022. Police received a 911 call about a dog in distress at the Walmart in Hammonton. Police realized that the dog had taken heroin.

They administered a pediatric dose of Narcan to the dog, who then recovered.

Danks and Meyers were indicted Wednesday on animal cruelty and possession of heroin charges.
