Dollar General employees say they don't feel safe at work

OSHA has cited unsafe conditions at dozens of Dollar General stores in recent years.

Dollar General employees are rallying at headquarters due to work safety concerns.

Since 2014, 49 people have been killed in stores and 172 others have been injured, according to the Gun Violence Archive. One such incident happened in New Jersey. Last year, a man fired a gun inside a Dollar General in Pleasantville. When police confronted him, he allegedly reached for the gun in his pocket and police opened fire. The suspect survived.

In April, police say a man stole several boxes of merchandise from a Dollar General store in Newark.

Meanwhile, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has cited unsafe conditions at dozens of Dollar General stores in recent years.
