A New Jersey music tradition going back 30 years will be held virtually this year.
Michael Newman and Laura Oltman came up with the Raritan River Music Festival as a way to bring classical music to historical churches and other venues in western New Jersey. But due to the pandemic this year, each of the performances – held every Saturday during May – will be streamed online.
The organizers say that all of the spring and summer events were being canceled, so they decided to go on with the performances virtually.
There is no cost to view the performances, which include an array of musical styles.
