State of emergency declared in New Jersey as state could get up to 10 inches of of snow

Two detectives were hospitalized Wednesday after they were exposed to an unknown substance while responding to a possible overdose call, Cherry Hill police said.
Authorities said the detectives found a woman, who later died of an apparent heroin overdose, at a home in the 200 block of Heritage Road in Cherry Hill around 9 a.m.
The detectives, one from Cherry Hill police and one from Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, were exposed to an unknown substance while processing the scene, police said. A source told News 12 New Jersey that the substance was likely a type of heroin.
The officers were treated at Cooper University Hospital in Camden and have since been released.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
